When you talk to Australians health is one of the topics that will come up. However, this will not be exactly what you are expecting. Australians are not so much concerned about the poor health of the people as they are interested in working hard to make sure that they have good health at all times. They are a people who have discovered that being healthy and staying in shape are very important things. These are aspects of their lives that they work toward every day. There are exceptions, of course, but most Australians are very conscious of their health.

If you take a trip to the store, you will find all of the proof that you need. While they certainly do enjoy drinking the local beer, their vices do no lie in foods that they eat, something that is a common problem in other countries. They are much more prone to have a piece of fish and a salad than they are to have a slice of pizza. Even the hazelnut spread that they put on toast and cakes is a healthier sort of frosting. It is not composed of sugar alone, but also of low-fat milk and nuts. Furthermore, you will find that eating fresh fruit is something that they find very enjoyable.

Perhaps that alone is not enough proof. All that you need to do to find more is to go to a nearby park. You will find people jogging, walking their dogs, playing with frisbees, and playing rugby. If you go to the beach, you will not find people sitting around and eating ice cream. You will find them swimming in the surf, running along the shoreline, and generally just getting exercise while enjoying the sun. This is a country full of people who love the thrill that sports can provide. They use physical activities to avoid obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and many other ailments.

On the whole, Australians enjoy their health. They are happier not because they are skinnier or because they diet to the extreme, but just because their bodies are in good physical condition. They want to be able to enjoy hiking in the mountains and surfing on the waves, and they must be in shape to do it. By caring about their health and taking steps to improve it, Australians are actually getting as much as they can out of the world.
